Dell Taps Bill Clinton For Keynote

If you're a large, computer and technology provider, who do you get for your keynote speaker? For Dell, it's President Bill Clinton, who the computer maker said Tuesday will headline the firm's second annual Dell World event being held in Austin in December. Dell said that former President Bill Clinton will deliver the keynote address at the event, which is aimed IT decision makers using the company's range of products. The event is being held December 11 through the 13th in Austin, at the Austin Convention Center. Although it's not completely unusual to have a former President speak at your high tech event, it's undoubtedly costing Dell a pretty penny; according to CNN earlier this year, President Bill Clinton earned $13.4M in speaking fees in 2011, and that he earns several hundred thousand dollars for an event.
