Dell Services Sold To NTT DATA

Plano-based Dell Services, the IT services arm of Round Rock-based Dell, has been sold to NTT DATA, the two said this morning. The deal is worth approximately $3.05 billion. Dell Services was formerly known as Perot Systems. According to NTT DATA and Dell, the move will help NTT DATA expand its brand and help it with global growth and geographic presence, particularly in North America. Dell acquired Perot Systems in 2009. NTT Data said it was advised by Wells Fargo Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities, and Credit Suisse in the deal; Dell was advised by Citigroup.
