Dell Sells Google Search Appliance

Round Rock-based Dell said Tuesday that it has signed on to sell Google's enterprise search hardware appliance, to its corporate and government customers. Dell said that it will carry Google's Search Appliance and Google Mini products, which are used to index internal data within companies. Financial impact and details of the deal were not disclosed. The products will be available through Dell's OEM Industry Solutions Group, which customizes Dell PowerEdge servers for its corporate clients. Google's Search Appliance product retails for $30,000; the Google Mini starts at $1,995.
