Dell Mini3 Rolls Out In China

Round Rock-based Dell is rolling out its new, Mini 3i smart phone in China, the firm said today, in a deal with China Mobile. Dell, which first announced its efforts to enter the smart phone market two weeks ago, said that China Mobile will sell its Mini 3i multi-touch phone beginning at the end of this month through China Mobile's channels and authorized stores. The new phone will run a version of the Android operating system. In conjunction with the announcement, Dell also filled in previously undisclosed details of the new smart phone platform, saying it has a 3.5 inch, 640x360 display, supports quadband GSM/EDGE networks, measure 58.35 x 122 x 11.7, weights a little less than 105 grams, and supports up to 32GB of memory using Micro SD memory. Earlier this month Dell had said that it would also be rolling out the devices soon on Brazilian carrier Claro.
