Dell Bolsters Retail Footprint in China

Computer manufacturer Dell Inc. revealed today that it has expanded its retail presence in China through several new or updated partnerships. Specifically, the Round Rock, Texas-based company said it has extended its relationship with Gome, China's top consumer electronics retailer. Beginning this month, Dell's products will be available in twice as many (nearly 900) Gome stores as before, the firm said. Another retailer, Suning, will sell Dell laptops and desktops in more than 300 of its stores. That figure will increase in the future, Dell said. Also, Dell said its systems will be sold in Hontu stores and through several PC chain retailers, including Wuxing, Meicheng, Heng Chang and Heyong.
