Cornerstone Automation Links With UK Firm On Box Opening Robot

Frisco, Texas-based Cornerstone Automation Systems, a developer of order fulfillment and logistics systems, has tied with a UK-firm, TM Robotics, a new robot specifically for opening up boxes. According to TM Robotics, it is using CASI's box opening software for a robotic machine, which opens boxes. The new device helps companies prevent repetitive motion hand injuries, cuts and other injuries resulting in blood, and other issues encountered by e-commerce companies, big box stores, and retailers who have to process large amounts of shipping boxes. Pricing on the new system--which is typically used in warehouse logistics--was not announced.
