CopperEgg Raises $2M For Cloud Analytics

Austin-based CopperEgg, a developer of real-time, analytics software, said today that it has raised $2M in its Series A funding round. The firm said the round was led by Silverton Partners. As part of the funding, Silverton's Kip McClanahan and Morgan Flager have both joined the company's board. CopperEgg develops RevealCloud, a Saas-based, performance monitoring product aimed at web applications running in the cloud. The firm is headed by Scott Johnson, who was founder of Surgient Networks and Thomas-Conrad Corporation. Surgient was acquired by Quest Software in 2010, and Thomas-Conrad by Compaq in 1995.
