Convio Hires New CTO

Convio Inc., a publisher of on-demand fund-raising software for non-profit organizations, reported Wednesday that it has promoted David Hart to chief technology officer. Convio said Hart succeeds co-founder David Crooke, who is leaving the company to pursue another entrepreneurial venture. Convio described Hart as a 20-year veteran of the software technology industry, adding that he joined the company in 2000. Before that, Hart was a consulting engineer for Tivoli Systems. Prior to Tivoli, he spent 15 years at GTE Data Services and Northern Telecom. Convio is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
