Convio Bolsters Social Media Connections

Austin-based Convio, the developer of nonprofit software-as-a-service tools, said today that it has rolled out a new module which helps organizations leverage social media, social sharing, and mobile technology. According to the firm, the new Convio Open API helps nonprofits to create applications which tie into the Apple iPhone and other mobile devices, track activity through Facebook and other social networks, and also ties actions in social networking sites into its own system. Pricing on the new functionality was not disclosed.
