Compeat Snags Private Equity Funding

Austin-based Compeat, a developer of accounting and back office software for the restaurant industry, has raised a round of private equity from Serent Capital, according to reports. Size of the funding was not announced. Compeat was founded in 2000, and says it offers up its systems to restaurants and restaurant chains with sales ranging from $1M to $400M in revenues.
