Cardtronics Buys Columbus Data Services

Houston-based Cardtronics, an operator and owner of retail ATMs, said Monday that it has acquired technology provider Columbus Data Services, which is based in Dallas. Cardtronics said it would pay $80M for Columbus Data Services (CDS), which offers up mobile and online technology to help customers manage their portfolio of ATMs, and also provides technology infrastructure for connecting to debit and credit card paryment networks. Cardtronics said CDS will operate as a separate division of the firm.
