Blackstone Drops Out Of Dell Race

Private equity firm The Blackstone Group has pulled out of a possible bid for Round Rock-based Dell Computer, according to multiple reports late Thursday evening. Blackstone had yet to put in a bid for Dell, which is currently sitting on a $24.4 billion bid from Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners. No reason for Blackstone's decision to decline a bid for Dell was given.
