Big In Japan Sees Surge In Black Friday Use

Dallas-based Big In Japan, the makers of the of mobile barcode scanning and comparison shopping app ShopSavvy, saw a surge in usage on Black Friday, the company reported, resulting in the firm having to double the server and database capacity of its service in order to handle the traffic. The firm's bar code applications for iPhone and Android allow users to scan items and get online price comparisons.
