BMC's Lavigne Rejoins Board

Houston-based BMC Software, a publisher of IT automation applications, revealed Thursday that Louis J. "Lou" Lavigne Jr. has rejoined its board of directors. Lavigne resigned from the board earlier this year due to health reasons, BMC said, but has since made a full recovery. BMC added that Lavigne will serve as a member of the board’s audit committee. BMC described Lavigne as an industry veteran who spent more than 20 years as a financial executive with Genentech. He also held various senior management positions with Pennwalt Corp., BMC said, before undertaking his current role as a corporate finance, accounting and strategy consultant. BMC noted that Lavigne is also a member of Allergan’s board and once served on the boards of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Equinix and Xenova PLC.
