BMC Wins Allied Wireless

Houston-based BMC Software, which develops IT management software, has signed on Allied Wireless Communications Corp., a wireless service provider supplying Alltell wireless services in six states, as a customer. BMC said that Allied is using the firm for a cloud-based service desk solution. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. BMC said that Allied Wireless is using BMC ServiceDesk on Force.com, the application marketplace of Salesforce.com. BMC explained that Allied Wireless selected the firm's product due to its subscription-based pricing and capabilities.
