BMC Software Signs British Telecom

Enterprise management applications publisher BMC Software Inc. revealed Wednesday that it has won the business of international telecommunications giant British Telecom. Specifically, Houston-based BMC said British Telecom has successfully implemented BMC's CONTROL-M enterprise job-scheduling software. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. According to BMC, the application will help British Telecom transmit business-critical reports through its system in a timely fashion, such as sending reports to stock markets. Originally established as a public utility to citizens in the United Kingdom, British Telecom now operates in more than 170 countries.
