BMC Software Buys VaraLogix

Houston-based BMC Software, the developer enterprise IT software, said this morning that it has acquired VaraLogix, a developer of release automation software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. BMC said the buy would boost its DevOps portfolio. VaraLogix develops tools used to control the release of software applications into production environments. VaraLogix was based in Round Rock, and was co-founded by Tim Wall and Robin Fuller.
