BMC Signs Midwest Grocer

Houston-based BMC Software revealed Wednesday that a Midwestern grocery chain has licensed a scheduling app from BMC to help manage its inventory. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. The Houston-based IT applications publisher identified its new client as Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisc., which owns and operates 152 retail grocery stores and three distribution centers. According to BMC, its CONTROL-M solution is helping Roundy's process between 2,300-2,700 jobs each day, which enables the chain to maximize its software and staff.
