Authentix Gets Patent

Dallas-based authentication technology provider Authentix said yesterday that it has been issued a U.S. Patent. The firm said that U.S. Patent 8,194,237 covers its method of creating a multispectral image of an object, particularly a banknote. The technology is used to help authenticate currency in central banks. The firm said it now has over 95 patents and patents pending. According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, the patent was actually issued on June 5th. Inventors on the patent are Paul Cronin, Chester Wildey, and Alan Hunt. Authentix was represented by Kordzik; Kelly Matheson Keys Garsson & Kordzik PLLC in the patent filing.
