Austin Technology Council Names New CEO

The Austin Technology Council said Thursday that it has named Barbary Brunner as CEO of the group, in the leadup to SXSW. Brunner has previously served at such companies as Experian, Yahoo!, Microsoft, and Vivendi Universal, and also has been involved with the Founder Institute. The ATC said that Brunner was selected after a thorough executive search by its board. The ATC's former President and CEO, Julie Huls, said in December that she would resign in the first quarter of this year.
