Ascendant Technology Acquired By Avnet

Austin-based Ascendant Technology, and IT consulting firm which also has operations in Europe, Brazil, and India, has been acquired by IT distribution and consulting giant Avnet. Avnet announced the acquisition Monday, but did not disclose any financial details of the deal. Ascendant becomes part of the Avnet Technology Solutions business unit. Avnet said that Ascendant's 2011 revenues were approximately $90M.
