American Rolls Out Samsung Tablets On Planes

Fort Worth-based American Airlines announced today that it has started rolling out Samsung Galaxy Tab devices on its flights, to customer in its premium class cabins. American said the tablet PCs will give customers access to a library of entertainment, and will be available in both First and Business Class on flights between JFK and Los Angeles, JFK and San Francisco, Miami and San Francisco, and Miami and Los Angeles, on 767-200 and 767-300 aircraft; internationally on flights between Europe and South America on 767-300's, and flights between Boston and LAX on 757 aircraft. American had announced a deal with Samsung to provide customers with the Android tablets in June. The tablets will include access to over 70 movies, television, and audio, in addition to other apps.
