American Airlines Grounds Planes After Computer Issues

American Airlines said Tuesday afternoon that it has grounded all of its flights, after its network system started experiencing intermittent outages. According to a statement on American's site, it is holding all flights on the ground until later this afternoon, as it looks to resolve its issues. Details of the intermittent outages were unclear, however, reports said the issues came as a result of the company being unable to access the Sabre flight reservations system. American Airlines is based in Fort Worth, and Sabre Holdings is based in Southlake.
