Almalence Gets Funding From Intel
Austin-based Almalence, a developer of computational imaging technology, said this morning that it has received an investment from Intel Capital. Size of the investment was not disclosed. Almalence develops software algorithms which run on image processors, used to increase the image quality of DSLR cameras. Almalence has its headquarters in Austin, but says most of its R&D actually goes on in Novosibirsk, Russia. The company's founders are Dmitry Shmunk and Eugene Panich.
