Airband Expands Houston Bandwidth

Dallas, Texas-based Airband Communications said Wednesday that the firm has expanded its coverage and capacity of its network in Houston. The firm, which provides fixed wireless services for businesses, said it has increased coverage in the city by 50 percent. Airband operates a Internet communications service based on the WiMax technology standard; the firm focuses on connecting businesses with fixed wireless connections. Airband is venture backed by M/C Venture Partners, Sevin Rosen Funds, Crescendo Ventures, Key Venture Partners, and Dolphin Equity.
