Active Power Gets Order

Austin-based Active Power, a manufacturer of backup power systems and uninterruptible power supplies, reported today that it has received a "multimillion" dollar order from an un-named, Internet search engine provider. The firm said the deal covers nearly 13 megawatts of total rated UPS capacity via its CleanSourrce UPS systems. The firm said the equipment is expected to be shipped in Q3 to a datacenter facility in the United States. The firm said the win is the third order from the same customer in less than three years.
