Accenture Buys Structure For Smart Grid, Energy Expertise

Houston-based IT outsourcing provider Accenture is expanding its expertise in the smart grid and energy trading market, through the acquisition of fellow Houston company Structure, the two firms said Tuesday. FInancial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Accenture said the acquistiion will help expand and enhance its experience and capabilities in smart grid solutions, especially grid operations, as well as energy commodity trading and risk management.
