AT&T Buys DIRECTV

Dallas-based AT&T and satellite TV operator DIRECTV said late Sunday that AT&T will buy DIRECTV, in a deal worth approximately $67.1 billion, with an enterprise value of $48.5 billion. AT&T will pay approximately $95 per share for DIRECTV in a stock and cash transaction, which will combine AT&T's high speed, broadband and mobile network with DIRECTV's satellite TV operations. The two said the move will enable it to bundle together all of those services, including video, high-speed broadband and mobile services.
