AMX Acquisition By HARMAN Completes

Richardson-based AMX, which provides enterprise control and automation systems, audio/vieo switching, and other products, has been acquired by audio equipment provider HARMAN International Industries, Harman said Friday afternoon. The deal--which had been announced in May--was worth $365M. AMX was founded in 1982, and employs more than 600; the company was owned by private equity investor The Duchossois Group.
