Whole Foods Mobile App Encourages Green Actions
Austin-based Whole Foods Market has released a new mobile app via its Whole Planet Foundation, which looks to encourage consumers to performance green lifestyle actions by offering up coupons. The new Make Change. Not Waste app--released by the Whole Planet Foundation and BlueAvocado--allows users to do things like using reusable water bottles, converting to electronic billing, using a reusable bag, and so on and gain access to special coupons from green brands at Whole Foods. The app is free. The Whole Planet Foundation said that users can also donate back to the group to help fund microlending products in countries where Whole Foods Market sources it products.
