Volusion Banks $55M For eCommerce Software, Eyes IPO

Austin-based Volusion, which develops e-commerce software for the enterprise and SMB market, said today that it has raised a big, $55M funding round, to help expand its platform. Volusion said the funding was led by Main Street Capital Corporation. Volusion, whic his led by Clay Olivier, said it will use the funds for rapid development of its Mozu enterprise platform, as well as continued development on its SMB products. The funding is the first, equity investment in the company in the fifteen year old firm. Volusion said the funding will help it on the way towards an IPO.
