Austin-based Virtual Bridges, the developer of desktop management and virtualization software, said today that it has tapped a recognized blogger for a role at the company. The firm said it has hired David Marshall, which runs virtualization and cloud news site VMblog.com as a senior product marketing manager and social media strategist for the company. Marshall was most recently at SolarWinds, and previously had been at Hyper9, which he co-founded before its acquisition by SolarWinds. He has also served at Surgient. Virtual Bridges is venture backed by Austin Ventures.
