Vested Finance Finds $5M For Higher Education Funding

Austin-based Vested Finance, a startup which allows students to trade a percentage of their future earnings in exchange for higher education funding, has raised $5M in a seed funding round, the company said this week. The funding was led by Sandleigh Ventures. Vested Finance said the funds will go towards expansion of its offices in Austin, San Francisco, and Washington D.C., and the hiring of a development team. Vested Finance says it will provide higher education financing to students, in exchange for those students pledging a certain percent of their future earnings in the workforce through a "Income Share Agreement".
