Travelocity Unveils Road Trip-Planning Service

Online travel booking service Travelocity announced today that it has launched a new tool for planning road trips. Travelocity said the new offering, which is still in beta and is called RoadTrip Wizard, allows vacationers to outline and organize road trips from a single Web site instead of several. RoadTrip Wizard, Travelocity explained, enables would-be travelers to research and reserve places to stay, eat, shop and visit. Travelocity said it developed the tool with help from LeisureLogix, a new travel and navigation services company. Based in Southlake, Texas, Travelocity is owned by Sabre Holdings Corp. LeisureLogix is headquartered in Tampa, Fla.
