The Zebra Gets $3M For Online Auto Insurance Marketplace

Austin-based The Zebra said this morning that it has raised $3M in funding, via an extended seed financing round, for its real time, online auto insurance comparison shopping platform. The startup--led by Adam Lyons--said the funding came from Simon Nixon, Mark Cuban, and Mike Maples, Jr. The company said it has now raised a total of $4.5M. The Zebra's online site lets users find the best auto insurance rates, by comparing more than 200 auto insurance carriers.
