Houston-based Texas Memory Systems, the developer of flash-based disk drives, has unveiled a new product it says provides higher performance and greater capacity than similar products. The firm said its half-length, SLC Flash PCIe Card provides 900GB, 30,000 IOPS and 2 GB/s of bandwidth to customers. The firm is targeting the new RamSan-70 product to data warehousing, enterprise resource planning (ERP), sophisticated data acquisition, scientific computing, and web content customers.
