SOCi, With Offices In Austin, Raises $8.5M

SOCi, a developer of social media management software which recently opened up offices in Austin, says it has raised $8.5M in a Series A financing. The company said the funding goes to grow its sales and marketing efforts. The funding was led by Vertical Venture Partners and Grayhawk Capital, and also included Stanford University DAPER Fund, Peninsula Ventures, Tallwave Capital, and Lakewood & Company.
