Teladoc Connects With Smart Thermometer Provider Kinsa

Lewisville, Texas-based telehealth services provider Teladoc said this morning that it has linked up with connected "smart thermometer" maker Kinsa, with an integration deal. According to Teladoc, the integration with Kinsa will allow its app to automatically detect Kinsa's app on a user's mobile phone, and import up to 10 days of temperature readings into the Teladoc platform. Teladoc said using Kinsa's data will help physicians with the diagnosis of such things as bacterial versus viral infections. Financial details of the integration deal between the two companies were not announced. Kinsa's "smart" thermometer plugs into a user's smartphone and logs temperatures taken with the device.
