RetailMeNot Debuts New Coupon App For iPhone

Austin-based RetailMeNot.com, the online coupon site run by WhaleShark Media, is ramping up for holiday shopping today, and has released a new iPhone coupons application. The firm said its updated iPhone Coupons app now includes a feature which allows consumers to receive local coupon notifications from local retailers, an expansion from its earlier version, which only featured national retailers. The company said the app can now let users in a certain area--say, a shopping mall--get alerts on offers at nearby stores. The firm said it will provide location-based coupons for more than 500 shopping malls across the country by Black Friday.
