SpareFoot Teams With Truck Rental Firm Penske

In some big news for Austin startup SpareFoot, the provider of an online marketplace for storage units has inked a deal with Penske Truck Rental, to help customers of the two companies find and reserve both a storage unit and a moving truck together. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The move makes a lot of sense--people often will rent a truck at the same time they rent a storage space, to move their stuff to that space. The two said they are launching just ahead of Memorial Day, which the two said kicks off the busiest moving weekend of the year. The two said that next Tuesday is called "Crazy Tuesday" by the industry, the unofficial, biggest day of the year for the industry.
