    Tektronix Gets UK Win


    Tektronix Communications, a provider of network diagnostics products for network operators and equipment manufacturers, revealed Tuesday that a U.K.-based mobile technology firm is using a Tektronix product to aid its femtocell research. Femtocell's are being used to provide indoor coverage for cell phones. Specifically, Tektronix said ip.access Ltd. has selected Tektronix's G35 protocol analyzer to help develop a femtocell solution that could enhance indoor mobile communications. Tektronix added that ip.access is using the G35 to simulate certain radio access networks while ip.access designs and tests its femtocell access point elements. ip.access is based in Cambridge, England. Tektronix is headquartered in Richardson, Texas.
