    Alliance Data Signs National Geographic

Alliance Data Systems Corp., a Dallas-based provider of transaction-based loyalty and marketing services, revealed Tuesday that its Epsilon business unit has landed a multi-year extension with the National Geographic Society. Alliance explained that, under the terms of the agreement, Epsilon will continue to host and manage National Geographic's permission-based e-mail communications platform through 2011. Alliance Data said that National Geographic reaches 350 million people each month through its six magazines, one television channel, and various video documentaries, radio programs and other publications. The Washington D.C.-based society has been an Epsilon client since 1997. Epsilon also provides National Geographic with database services, Alliance said.
