    Scalable Buys Attachmate's WinINSTALL Line


    Scalable Software Ltd., a publisher of IT asset lifecycle management applications headquartered near Houston, announced Monday that it has acquired the WinINSTALL desktop management product line from Seattle-based Attachmate. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Scalable said more than 10,000 companies across the globe use the WinINSTALL family, which helps organizations deploy, update and manage software and security for desktops, servers and notebook computers. Scalable's North American headquarters are located in Sugar Land, Texas. Its international headquarters are based in the United Kingdom.
