BMC Software Promotes EMEA Exec

Houston-based BMC Software, a publisher of IT automation applications, reported Tuesday that it has promoted Luca Lazzaron as vice president and general manager of its operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. BMC said Lazzaron will be tasked with driving sales and with growing BMC's EMEA organization. Lazzaron, who has been with BMC since its acquisition of BladeLogic, previously managed BladeLogic's EMEA sales operations. Prior to that, he was regional vice president for Portal Software's southern and eastern EMA regions. He has also held various EMEA management positions in sales and business development for Cisco Systems.
