TransFirst Taps Software Firm For new Applications

TransFirst LLC, a provider of payment processing and enabling services, and IP Commerce Inc., a developer specializing in B2B software, have worked together to produce three new desktop commerce applications, the companies reported Tuesday. The new applications incorporate IP Commerce's IP Payments Framework, and will be marketed by TransFirst to its merchants. The applications are a credit card-processing add-on for golf pro shop management software and a bankcard processing utility for Microsoft Office Accounting 2007 and QuickBooks. Headquartered in Dallas, TransFirst currently processes some $23 billion in annual sales volume for more than 160,000 merchants and more than 965 financial institutions. IP Commerce Inc. is based in Denver, Colorado.
