Spredfast Gets $1.6M
Austin-based Spredfat said today that the firm has scored $1.6M in a Series A funding today, from Austin Ventures. The firm, which develops social media marketing software, said the funding will go towards business development and to increase the firm's brand awareness. Spredfast's software is used by enterprises and SMBs to manage their social media across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Flickr. The firm's software includes ability to tie social media analytics into such tools as Omniture and Google Analytics, and also allows for automation of social media workflow. Spredfast said its customers include TOMS Shoes, Oracle, HomeAway, IBM, AOL, and HP.
