Solarwinds Upgrades Software
Austin-based SolarWinds, a developer of network management software, said today that it has upgraded the firm's Cirrus Configuration Manager product. The firm said it has added new compliance, security, and administration features to the package, which is used by IT administrators to configure backups and detect network changes. Among the features are role-based access, which allows multiple user accounts with different privileges to be created; authentication with Microsoft's Active Directory for single-sing on; and tracking of user activities. SolarWinds is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Bain Capital, and Insight Venture Partners.
