Plano-based hosting firm SoftLayer has tapped a startup for a set of cloud hosting tools, the firm said Monday. According to SoftLayer, it has partnered with Cloudkick, a developer of cloud management software, to help its customer manage and monitor their CloudLayer computing instances and resources. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. SoftLayer said the partnership will give its customers better monitoring and fault detection, trend analysis, and other features.
