Silicon Labs Supports ARM mbed OS
Austin-based Silicon Labs said Wednesday that it is supporting the ARM mbed operating system (ARM mbed OS), on its line of Gecko processors. Silicon Labs said its Happy Gecko, Leopard Gecko and Wonder Gecko MCUs, which are all based ont he ARM Cortex-M processor, will support ARM's mbed OS. ARM's mbed is aimed at embedded developers creating battery-operated, connected devices in the Internet-of-Things area. ARM's mbed specifically is looking to help developers create Internet-of-things applications.
