Austin-based Silicon Laboratories, a developer of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, announced today that it has shuffled its organization, creating a new Embedded Mixed-Signal product group. According to the firm, it expects the reorg to help it with its growth. Silicon Laboratories said the new unit will be headed by Mark Thompson, formerly VP and GM of its microcontroller products business. The firm also said that Tyson Tuttle has been appointed as Chief Technical Officer of the firm, Dave Bresemann as VP and GM of Broadcast products, and Carlos Garcia as VP of Wireless products.
